‘Shriners Rate’ Hotel Accommodations

If you plan to stay overnight while visiting for your appointment, the nearby Sleep Inn & Suites offers a discounted rate for Shriners Children’s families. Ask about the discount on the available room rate on the date of your stay. Please bring verification of your appointment. Vending

A vending area with soft drink machines, Keurig coffee maker and water dispenser is located just off our sports medicine gym/central activities area. Exit the gym at the sports stadium wall mural and proceed left into the vending area.

Waiting Area Activities

Our clinic waiting areas feature a variety of activities for kids of all ages. From pre-school play and interactive areas to a mobile library, foosball and arcade-style games, your child can enjoy some recreational fun during their time at Shriners Children’s. Planned crafts/activities and holiday events are also scheduled on various clinic days throughout the year.

Shrine Room

Located just off of our main lobby, our “Shrine Room” features a variety of noteworthy items and images from the storied history of the world’s first Shriners Children’s facility. See the facility’s first cornerstone, early historical images, and a scale model of the original building constructed in 1922.

Shriner Transportation

If you are scheduled for an appointment at Shriners Children's Shreveport and are unable to secure transportation to and from Shreveport, your local Shriners (members of Shriners International) may be able to help. Please contact your nearest Shriners International chapter to discuss transportation options in your area. Free Parking

Free on-site parking is available for our families and guests. Parking lots are located along the north side of the building next to Kings Highway, and directly across the street from the hospital on Samford Avenue.

Interpretation Services

Shriners Children’s Shreveport offers an interpretation service to help ensure you have accurate information regarding your child’s care. We contract with a video/online interpretation service that can provide translation in numerous languages, including sign language. Learn more about interpretation services at Shriners Children’s.

Internet Access

You can access the internet through the Patient and Family Access Network (PFA). To connect, select the network named "PFA" on your phone or device, and open your browser. Click in the check box to accept terms and scroll down to click “Continue to the internet.” For assistance, simply ask a staff member.
