Families Come First at Shriners Children's Lexington

Along with exceptional care for your child, we'll take good care of you, too. Be sure to take advantage of some of the following amenities and services. We provide care in a beautiful medical center designed specifically to serve your child's medical and emotional needs — full of bright natural light and our welcoming team.

Free Transportation

If you do not have transportation or would like to have it provided for you, local transportation assistance from the Shriners fraternity in your home region may be available. To inquire about transportation, contact the Shriners fraternity chapter in your state, located closest to you. Requests should be made as soon as you know the appointment date and time for which you'll need transportation.

If you're not sure which chapter of the Shriners fraternity to call, contact the hospital between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, at 800-668-4634 or 859-266-2101, and the receptionist will assist you.

Interpretation Services

Our caring interpreters allow you to understand all aspects of your child’s care and help your child to feel more comfortable when they know what to expect. Learn more about our interpreter services.

Food and Refreshments

We are located across a pedestrian bridge from the University of Kentucky Healthcare Cafeteria, which has a wide variety of food and beverage options available.

Overnight Accommodations

Lexington has a wide range of lodging available in the city. Some hotels offer discounted rates for patients.

There is a Ronald McDonald House within 10 minutes of the medical center and numerous campgrounds are within 20 miles. Please call 859-268-0757 for more information.

You will find an ATM on the third floor of our medical center.

Internet Access

Public wireless internet access is available. Ask any staff member for assistance.

Security

If you have safety concerns or would like a security escort, please call the security guard at 859-268-5665, or visit the main desk in the lobby of the third floor during regular business hours, Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

Parking

We have convenient parking in a University of Kentucky parking garage right across the street.

• The address of the parking garage is 110 Transcript Avenue, Lexington, KY 40508.
• The height at the entrance to the parking garage is 8 feet 6 inches.
• Bring your parking stub for this garage to your appointment and we will validate it.
• A pedestrian bridge to Shriners Children's Lexington is located on Level C of the garage. When you get off the elevator at Level C or enter from parking on level C, turn to the right to access the pedestrian walkway to Shriners Children's Lexington.
