Biography
Vincent Lucy, M.D., graduated magna cum laude from the University of Arkansas Little Rock. Inspired by his father who was chairman of neurology at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) for over thirty years, he graduated from the same institution in 1993. He remained at UAMS for his anesthesia residency, graduating in 1997. The following year, he obtained a pain medicine fellowship at Wake Forest University Bowman Gray Hospital in Winston Salem, NC.
Knowing Dr. Lucy from his residency, in 2001 the staff at Arkansas Children's Hospital (ACH) asked for his assistance in the department of pediatric anesthesia. He continues to work at ACH a few weeks every year when he goes home to visit family and friends. In 2011, Dr. Lucy joined the staff at Shriners Children's Honolulu based on his enjoyment in providing anesthesia to children and out of his admiration for the mission of Shriners Children's.
In his spare time, Dr. Lucy enjoys swimming and coaching youth baseball in Honolulu. He is married to a very supportive wife, Saifon, and three wonderful children, Tiana, Zackary, and Matthew.
