Biography
Melissa DiPiro, MSN, RN, CPNP-PC/AC, has been a pediatric nurse practitioner at Shriners Children’s Boston since 2015. She earned her Bachelor of Science in nursing from Northeastern University, where she later completed her Master of Science in nursing with a dual certification as a pediatric primary care and acute care nurse practitioner.
Before joining Shriners Children’s, Melissa gained extensive experience working in neonatal intensive care units across the country, including Duke University Medical Center, Johns Hopkins Hospital, Boston Children’s Hospital and Brigham and Women’s Hospital. At Shriners Children’s Boston, Melissa cares for patients with a wide range of burn injuries, from children with small burns in the outpatient clinic to those with large, complex burn injuries requiring intensive care. She works collaboratively with the pediatric intensive care unit and burn surgery team to provide seamless, multidisciplinary care from admission to discharge.
Melissa is a certified instructor for Pediatric Advanced Life Support and Advanced Burn Life Support. Dedicated to continuous learning and improvement, she is passionate about delivering high-quality, compassionate care to pediatric burn patients and their families.
