Biography
Daniel Driscoll, M.D., was exposed early on to medicine as he accompanied his father on house calls in Danvers and worked as a hospital janitor and scrub technician in the operating room. He graduated from Dartmouth College and Brown University Medical School. After surgical residency training at Massachusetts General Hospital and completion of the Harvard plastic surgery fellowship, he completed a burn reconstruction fellowship at Shriners Children's Boston. He joined the medical staff at Shriners Children's Boston in 1999.
Dr. Driscoll is a board-certified plastic surgeon who, for over 20 years, has specialized in reconstruction for children with burn injury and congenital problems. He is an assistant professor of surgery at Harvard Medical School. He has published dozens of journal articles and presented nationally and internationally on topics in plastic surgery and burn reconstruction. He also has an interest in international burn care and has gone on mission trips to Ukraine, Colombia and the Dominican Republic.
