Benjamin Wilson, M.D., is a pediatric orthopedic specialist at Shriners Children's Lexington specializing in sports injuries and conditions. He has worked at Shriners Children's Lexington since 2020, and is also an assistant professor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Kentucky.
He earned his medical degree from the Indiana University School of Medicine, and completed his residency at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine and fellowships at Boston Children's Hospital and Vanderbilt Children's Hospital.
Dr. Wilson was a collegiate football player at Kentucky Wesleyan College. He dealt with his own sports injuries that required surgery, which further inspired his passion for sports medicine. He also serves as the team physician for Morehead State University.
In his free time, Dr. Wilson enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, running, playing and watching sports, working out, playing guitar, cooking and reading.
