Joie Brownlee, FNP-C, MSN, BSN, family nurse practitioner, graduated with her bachelor's degree in biomedical science from Texas A&M University in 2005. She then continued into achieving her bachelor's in nursing in 2007 at Texas A&M University Corpus-Christi. For eight years she worked as a surgical circulating nurse and worked as a clinical teaching assistant at Texas A&M University School of Nursing. Joie graduated with her master's in nursing in 2016 as a family nurse practitioner (FNP) from Texas A&M University. Since, she has worked as a FNP in urgent care, primary care and internal medicine.

Joie has lived in Galveston with her husband and two boys since 2014. She enjoys volunteering her time in children's ministries at her home church and being involved with her two boys' extracurricular activities. In her spare time she loves playing golf and going to Aggie and Astros baseball games, as well as Rockets games.

She joined Shriners Children's in 2023 and has enjoyed working with both cleft lip and palate as well as orthopedic patients. Joie can help patients with their pediatric needs, along with collaborating with surgeons in order to provide the best possible care for our patients.
