Vehicle Donation Program Offers Donors Another Alternative to Give

Shriners Hospitals for Children — Greenville is partnering with CARS (Charitable Adult Rides & Services) to offer supporters a new and meaningful way to contribute to the mission of the trusted leaders in pediatric orthopaedic care for kids. Donated vehicles drive the Greenville Shriners Hospital’s efforts forward to provide treatment for over 85 different conditions, regardless of a family’s ability to pay.

“We are excited to offer our donors another way to make a purposeful contribution, ultimately increasing our ability to offer life-changing treatment to our patients,” said Paul Finelli, director, donor development. “The partnership with CARS provides an easy way to repurpose any unwanted vehicle. An added bonus is that this program works to protect the environment by properly removing unwanted vehicles from the road.”

Finelli said that donating a vehicle is easy, tax-deductible, and avoids the hassles of selling or the costs of repairing altogether. Vehicle donations ultimately strengthen programs provided by the Greenville Shriners Hospital, which may include clinical technology like the Motion Analysis Center – or patient experiences, such as the Build a Bear Den.

CARS guides contributors throughout the entire donation process and provides a free and convenient pick-up. CARS is the largest nonprofit vehicle donation provider and a trusted partner to over 3,500 other nonprofits in North America.
