Do you know a teenager aged 15-18 with a spinal cord injury or spinal cord conditions looking for a fun program to get involved with this summer? The BACKBONES virtual youth program may be it! BACKBONES was founded by a former Shriners Children’s Chicago patient with a pediatric spinal cord injury. The virtual program runs weekly from June to August and includes guest speakers, interactive activities and a chance to connect with others. A stipend may be available for participation.
Virtual sessions are two hours long every Wednesday. Applications are due by April 11, 2025, with notifications by the end of May 2025.
