Shriners Children's provides compassionate care and support in a way that promotes your child's overall health and well-being.
The care management team at Shriners Children’s consists of registered nurses and social workers who understand the challenges that dealing with health conditions and medical procedures can cause. Their main goal is to be a resource for your family throughout the treatment plan and help you navigate the process so that the family can focus on the child and helping them recover.
Care managers can help with questions regarding appointments, follow-up care or any other general needs. They act as a patient advocate and resource link, making sure our medical staff understands each families’ specific situation and connecting families with appropriate community-based services. They may assist with developing your child's plan of care, help them prepare for surgery and provide support for the transition back to home, school and the community. The Shriners Children's care management and social services teams also provide ongoing emotional support and assist with insurance-related concerns.
Specific treatments and services may vary by location. Please contact a specific location for more information.
“When you see how desperately a parent wants to bring their child to Shriners Children's, it makes you want to fight for them. When you hear a mother say, ‘You’re the only place that gave us hope,’ you realize why you do what you do.
