Biography

Daniela Velazquez-Arestegui, M.D., is an orthopedic surgeon who graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of the National Autonomous University of Mexico. She completed a fellowship in pediatric orthopedics at Shriners Children's Mexico, where she is currently on staff. She has had 10 years of experience in correction of angular deformities and bone lengthening with external fixation and progressive correction of deformities in the lower extremities, using the Ilizarov method. She has a special interest in congenital conditions and post-traumatic, infectious, idiopatic and neuromuscular sequelae. Dr. Velazquez-Arestegui also has experience in multilevel treatment in cerebral palsy.

She believes that pediatric orthopedic surgery can change the life of children and their families. The children are amazing patients, they provide us every day their energy, love for life and optimism. Shriners Children's gives Dr. Velazquez-Arestegui the opportunity to treat her patients with the best quality standards in every way.
