Sarah Scudder, PT, DPT, joined Shriners Children's Twin Cities in 2011. Sarah is a Sioux Falls, South Dakota, native who earned her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science at Minnesota State University, Mankato, graduating with honors and her Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of Minnesota.

Sarah has many years of diversified experience within the pediatric population. She assisted with establishing Shriners Children's Twin Cities' scoliosis specific exercise (SSE) program which uses a 3D treatment approach targeting adolescent idiopathic scoliosis (AIS) using specific exercises guided by the principles of Christina Lehnert-Schroth and the Barcelona Scoliosis Physical Therapy School (BSPTS). Sarah achieved her Schroth C1 and C2 certifications to treat patients with AIS, juvenile idiopathic scoliosis and several other spinal deformities. Her C2 certification allows treatment of patients who have undergone spine surgery. Sarah collaborates closely with the scoliosis team of orthopedic surgeons and prosthetists to manage the best possible care.

Sarah was drawn to pediatrics early in her career and has a deep passion for helping children and adolescents with a variety of diagnoses. She is a compassionate individual who tailors her sessions with creative and fun ideas geared toward assisting her patients in regaining their prior level of function and reaching their full potential. She also enjoys assisting with Camp Achieve each year, a camp for Shriners Children's patients with limb differences.
