Preetha K. Sinha, M.D., is an orthopedic surgeon with expertise in pediatric orthopedics and sports medicine, providing comprehensive care for children. She is board-certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.
With a passion for pediatric orthopedics, Dr. Sinha completed her fellowship at the prestigious University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. For the first five years of her career, she served as a preceptor for medical students, residents and the primary care sports medicine fellowship at her practice in Indiana.
Prior to her fellowship, she successfully completed her orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. Dr. Sinha earned her medical degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in 2013. Her academic journey began at the California Institute of Technology, where she graduated with honors, majoring in biology and chemistry with a minor in English. This diverse educational background equips her with a well-rounded perspective in the field of medicine.
Dr. Sinha resides at home with her husband and two dogs, creating a warm and nurturing environment. Beyond her medical pursuits, she finds joy in reading and spending time outdoors. Her love for adventure and physical activity is evident in her global travels, where she has honed her skills as a water polo player.
Dr. Sinha joined the Shriners Children’s Twin Cities medical team in December 2023. When asked about her choice to specialize in pediatric orthopedics and sports medicine, she expressed her joy for working with children and families and the variety the specialty brings. “It's rewarding to help acutely injured kids get back to being themselves, and I also like having the opportunity to make a functional impact with kids with more chronic conditions,” Dr. Sinha explains.
