Payam Saadai, M.D., is a pediatric surgeon at Shriners Children's Northern California and the UC Davis Medical Center.
Dr. Saadai is a California native. He earned his undergraduate degree at the University of California, Berkeley. He completed a fetal research fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco, and his clinical pediatric surgery fellowship at Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. He is board certified in general surgery and pediatric surgery. He is a candidate member of the American Pediatric Surgical Association.
Dr. Saadai specializes in general pediatric surgery with particular interest in minimally invasive and robotic surgery, fetal intervention and pediatric colorectal disorders, including Hirschsprung's disease and anorectal malformations (imperforate anus). He has presented at numerous medical conferences and has published extensively in many peer-reviewed publications, including the Journal of Pediatric Surgery.
Dr. Saadai's professional affiliations include the American Pediatric Surgical Association, American Academy of Pediatrics, American College of Surgeons and International Fetal Medicine Surgery Society.
