Maureen T. Nahorniak, PT, MBA, D.P.T., has been a physical therapist at Shriners Children’s New England since 1982. Maureen started her career as a physical therapist assistant after earning an associate degree from Springfield Technical Community College in 1981. She earned a Bachelor of Science in physical therapy from the University of Connecticut in 1988, a Master of Business Administration from Western New England College in 1991, and a doctorate in physical therapy from Simmons University in 2019.
Maureen is an advanced clinical specialist, specializing in scoliosis, chronic pain, lower limb deficiencies, adaptive equipment, neuromuscular disorders and manual therapy. She is also certified in Pilates, Active Release Technique (ART) and serves as the clinical education coordinator at Shriners Children’s New England.
Maureen enjoys developing deep connections with patients and families to allow for improved function and therapeutic outcomes.
