Joyce K. McIntyre, M.D., has been on the surgical staff at Shriners Children's New England as a craniofacial surgeon since 2015. She attended Harvard University and graduated cum laude in history and literature. Dr. McIntyre received her medical degree from the University of Massachusetts Medical School and completed her plastic surgery residency there, followed by a fellowship in craniofacial and pediatric plastic surgery at University of California San Diego/Rady Children's Hospital.
Dr. McIntyre is an associate professor of surgery, pediatrics and neurosurgery at UMass Chan Medical School, director of craniofacial surgery at UMass Memorial Health and the UMass Craniofacial Team, and also serves as associate program director of the plastic surgery residency at UMass Chan Medical School. She is the clinical director of SHARE, the Plastic Surgery Foundation/American Society of Plastic Surgeon's flagship global health program.
