Cary Mielke, M.D., is chief of staff at Shriners Children's Shreveport and a consultant for Shriners Children's Texas. . He joined the Shreveport medical team in 2018, having previously served as chief of staff for a sister facility in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Dr. Mielke attended Macalester College and earned his medical degree from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, followed by a fellowship in pediatric orthopedic surgery at the University of Utah and Shriners Children's Salt Lake City.
Areas of special interest to Dr. Mielke include hip dysplasia, orthopedic trauma, foot reconstruction and angular deformities of the lower extremity.
