Biography
Charles Goldfarb, M.D., is an orthopedic surgeon with special additional training in caring for children with upper extremity (elbow to fingertip) conditions. He feels lucky to have the chance to care for children with birth differences, injuries or other conditions at Shriners Children's St. Louis. Dr. Goldfarb helps care for any issues with the arm, elbow, forearm, wrist or hand.
He believes that taking care of children means talking to the family and making sure everyone understands the problem and the potential solutions, so they can work together to determine the best plan. He wants to give parents a good understanding of both the current issues and also what might happen down the road. He believes that this is one place where the expertise from Shriners Children's can be especially helpful. Because Shriners Children's treats a large number of children, it is almost certain we have cared for another child with a similar issue and, thus, can provide deeper insight into what families can expect.
