Marcie Fitzgerald, PAC, MPAS, earned a Bachelor of Science from Gannon University in 1998 and a Master of Physician Assistant Studies from University of Nebraska in 2001. She currently serves on the education committee of the Pennsylvania Society of Physician Assistants. She is a distinguished fellow of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and a member of the Phi Alpha Physician Assistant Honors Society.
Marcie began her physician assistant career at Shriners Children’s Erie in 2005. In 2013, she founded the physician assistant program at Mercyhurst University and continues to work as the academic director of the program. She is also an associate professor at the university, teaching courses such as PA Profession and Pediatrics. At Shriners Children’s Erie, she now has a more limited schedule and primarily specializes in patients with spinal deformities.
