Biography
Erin Brown, M.D., is a pediatric surgeon at Shriners Children's Northern California and the UC Davis Medical Center.
Dr. Brown, was born in New Jersey. She earned her undergraduate degree at Stanford University. She completed her general surgery residency as well as a fetal research fellowship at the University of California, Davis, and her clinical pediatric surgery fellowship at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). She is board-certified in general surgery and pediatric surgery.
Dr. Brown specializes in general pediatric surgery with particular interest in pediatric surgical oncology, thoracic, minimally invasive surgery and fetal intervention.
Dr. Brown is the director of research for the Division of Pediatric Surgery. She has extensive research experience in clinical and translational research. Her clinical research focuses on analyzing and developing quality metrics for pediatric surgery patients. Her translational research focuses on developing cellular therapy as a delivery vehicle for treatment of pediatric oncologic disease.
Dr. Brown's professional affiliations include the American Pediatric Surgical Association, American Academy of Pediatrics, Children's Oncology Group, International Society of Pediatric Surgical Oncology, American College of Surgeons, Association of Women's Surgeons and International Fetal Medicine Surgery Society.
Dr. Brown was a collegiate swimmer and enjoys swimming, running and spending time with her husband and three kids.
