Erin Dernulc: Director of Communication & Culture, Purple Square
Our partnership with Shriners Children is running this whole week, Monday through Friday, and every single one of our participating stores will be asking customers for donations at the end of the transaction, and 100% of those proceeds will go to Shriners.
Stuart Sullivan: Chief Philanthropy Officer, Shriners Children's
Shriners Children's provides care for over 140,000 children across the world. We do so in our hospital locations, in our clinics, and in our outpatient surgery centers spread across the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Shriners Children's is only able to provide care for children through our partnerships like this.
Mathias Piercy: Chief Operating Officer, Purple Square
Shriners appeals to us because they work with the children in the community. We also, it's a Tampa-based organization, so it's right in our backyard.
Erin Dernulc:
We decided to partner with Shriners. We truly believe that everything they're doing, the no cost to the families and the help that they're providing, closely aligns with what we're trying to accomplish here at Dunkin'.
Stuart Sullivan:
The majority of our operating budget is provided through philanthropic support. Therefore, folks supporting Shriners Children's through coming into a Dunkin' franchise and purchasing great food and then giving a dollar at the cash register is critically important to our present and our future.
Mathias Piercy:
Dunkin' is a fantastic partner and raising funds for Shriners Children's, but let's be honest, who doesn't like donuts? And our kids at Shriners Children's absolutely love them as well. So we're so excited to partner with Dunkin' just in support of our mission, but also our tummies.
Erin Dernulc:
We had the opportunity to take Zavi and his family to our CML facility where we make the donuts and seeing the light in his face when he got that behind-the-scenes tour about the magic of the donut making was really, truly special.
Zavi: Shriners Children's Patient
It was just pretty cool going into the distribution of Dunkin' Donuts because not everybody gets to do this every day. It's like a special experience that I got invited to, and I'm really grateful for that.
Speaker 5:
We can't say enough great things about Shriners. They have helped us so much. Because of them Zavi can run and play and be a normal kid. He can play baseball at the level that he's playing, which is huge.
Zavi:
Thank you so much to Shriners and Dunkin' Donuts.
Speaker 5:
Thank you so much, Shriners, and Dunkin' for partnering up to do this awesome give back for these kids. We are all truly grateful.
