Pumpkin surgery entertains patients and families

Pumpkin surgery

Trick or Treat! Shriners Hospitals for Children-Northern California surgeons performed pumpkin surgery in the school this morning. Dr. David Greenhalgh, Chief of Burns, Dr. Sundeep Tumber, Anesthesiologist and Dr. John R. Davids, Assistant Chief of Orthopaedics entertained patients and families at the annual event.

Our annual pumpkin surgery is a popular event for kids at the hospital. Other Halloween activities include a haunted house for parents of patients organized by the UC Davis baseball team and a Halloween carnival for patients organized with the help of UC Davis medical students.

Thank you to KCRA 3 for capturing our annual pumpkin surgery Halloween fun yesterday! Check out the fantastic video.
