Pediatric Colorectal Surgery will be the topic of discussion when Shriners Hospitals for Children — Northern California kicks off its 2016 Lunchtime Lecture series on Friday, January 29. The lecture begins at 12 noon in the hospital boardroom.
Shriners Hospital pediatric surgeons Jacob Stephenson, M.D., and Rebecca Stark, M.D., will lead the discussion that will focus on anorectal malformations and Hirschsprung’s Disease. In 2014, the Northern California Shriners Hospital broadened its nationally recognized programs to include pediatric surgery. The pediatric surgery program serves children with gastro-intestinal diseases, anorectal disorders, and chest wall malformations.
The Shriners lunchtime lectures are designed to engage and educate health care professionals and the Sacramento community at large. The series promotes the hospital’s mission to advance the lives of children through medical treatment, teaching and research. Health professionals and interested members of the community are invited to attend. Brown bag lunches are welcome. Reservations are not required.
