Orthopaedic surgeons from Shriners Hospitals for Children® – Northern California presented at a regional medical education program that took place at the Portland Shriners Hospital in June. Drs. Candice McDaniel, Vedant Kulkarni, Brian Haus, Joel Lerman and Jennette Boakes were among 22 speakers from six Shriners Hospitals in the western United States who presented at the two-day seminar.
Billed as the 1st Shriners Hospitals for Children Regional Conference, the seminar brought experts in the field of pediatric orthopaedics together to share research, experience and practices that lead to improved outcomes in children with cerebral palsy, scoliosis, clubfoot, muscular dystrophy and other pediatric orthopaedic conditions. Among the 85 attendees were orthopaedic residents from Oregon Health & Science University.

- Challenges to Incorporating Fracture Clinics into the Outpatient Care Setting ─ Candice McDaniel, M.D.
