Holiday Bazaar Supports Patient Transportation

Looking for place to do some holiday shopping and support a noble cause?  If so, plan on attending the Ben Ali Shrine Ladies Holiday Bazaar on Saturday, December 3, at the Scottish Rite Masonic Center, 6151 H Street in Sacramento. All proceeds from the 48th Ben Ali Shrine Ladies Holiday Bazaar will benefit the Ben Ali Transportation Fund, which used to pay expenses for patient transportation to and from Shriners Hospitals for Children — Northern California.  Doors open at 8:30 a.m., and the sale continues until 2 p.m.  Admission is free.

Children from throughout the Western United States, Canada and Mexico with complex, and sometimes life-threatening, medical conditions are treated at the Northern California Shriners Hospital.   The Ben Ali Shriners transportation fund ensures that children near and far have access to the complex, compassionate care that is the hallmark of Shriners Hospitals for Children.

Shrine volunteers operate and maintain a fleet of vans that are equipped with wheelchair lifts that provide transportation to and from the Sacramento International Airport, Sacramento Greyhound Station, and Sacramento Amtrak Train Station, from 7:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Shrine volunteers also make hundreds of trips with children and the children’s parents from various locations in Northern California each year.
