Granite Bay Golf Tournament and Gala Raises Funds for Shriners Hospital

Granite Bay Golf Tournament raises money for Shriners Hospital

The Cady family has grown up around Shriners Hospitals for Children – Northern California. There have been hundreds of visits and numerous surgeries. Marni Cady says that while her sons had very different needs, “They both received the best care we could possibly ask for.” Inspired by Shriners Hospital’s incredible care, Brad Cady, the pro at Granite Bay Golf Club, started a tournament to benefit the hospital.

Brad Cady returned to our hospital just before Thanksgiving to present proceeds raised from the tournament – a donation of $31,376.70! The extraordinary gift comes from the heart and the hard work that went into the two-day event at Granite Bay Golf Club.

Just a month ago, on October 25, over 100 people turned out for the annual Cool California Nights Gala at Granite Bay Golf Club for a night of dinner, dancing, entertainment, and fun – all to support Shriners Hospitals for Children – Northern California. Guests were treated to fine food courtesy of the Granite Bay Golf Club and the event featured raffle prizes, silent auction items, a photo booth and more.

Notable moments of the night included remarks given by golf pro, Brad Cady and several others who shared what Shriners Hospital has meant to their families.

This annual fundraiser for the hospital is put on by members of the Sacramento Chapter of the American Disc Jockey Association and the Granite Bay Golf Club. We’re especially grateful to Brady Cady, Randy Bartlett and Molina Healthcare for their support and sponsorship.

Teams of Shriners, business leaders, sponsors, and even Bobby Jackson of the Sacramento Kings played 18 holes while being treated to various vendors, challenges, and more! The event concluded with an awards dinner and remarks from our very own Alan Anderson, Director of Development.

Brad Cady and the Cool California Night event organizers are already planning for next year’s event in October 2016. We’ll keep you posted.
