Garden Tours Organized to Benefit Cerebral Palsy Program

An opportunity to help children at Shriners Hospital is growing in Huei Young’s Davis garden.

Inspired by her interest in nature, harmony and tranquility, Huei transformed the landscape of her north Davis home into an Asian oasis that features many rare and exotic Asian plants not typically found in the Sacramento region.

Garden tour proceeds benefit the Cerebral Palsy program at the Northern California Shriners Hospital.  Cerebral palsy is the most common cause of motor disability in children in North America and worldwide. The Shriners Hospital in Sacramento is home to one of the largest cerebral palsy programs in Northern California. Jon R. Davids, M.D., an internationally noted orthopaedic surgeon, is director of the Shriners Cerebral Palsy Center of Excellence which brings together a multidisciplinary team of experts into one center and to allow for complete care of the child.

To schedule a tour of  Huei’s Garden and support the hospital, please contact Joseph Ramos at Shriners Hospitals for Children by calling 916-453-2018 or sending email to jramos@shrinenet.org.  Tickets also may be purchased at Green Acres Nursery & Supply in Sacramento. The suggested donation is $25.
