Families from Sacramento to Turlock and Vacaville to Placerville can make holiday wishes come true for kids at Shriners Hospital by participating in the FOX40 Holiday Toy Drive. It is easy to do. Between now and Dec. 14, Big O Tires and Sizzler stores throughout the region are inviting families to deliver a new, unwrapped toy to one of their participating locations.
On Friday, Dec. 20, representatives from Big O Tires and Sizzler will deliver toys to the Shriners Hospital in Sacramento. A team of “Santa’s Helpers” from the hospital will be there to receive the gifts. A chorus of hospital carolers will serenade guests. The festive event will be broadcast live on the FOX40 morning show, and iHeartRadio 93.7 The River.
Helping to kick off this year’s Toy Drive was Sacramento Girl Scout Troop 1996. Appearing live on the Dec. 2, FOX40 morning show, the girls delivered toys they collected for kids at Shriners Hospital to the
FOX40 tent at the Sizzler at the Florin Towne Center in Elk Grove. When FOX40 morning anchor Mae Fasai asked one of the girls what she wanted for Christmas, she said she wanted people to give toys to
the kids at Shriners Hospital.
