Shriners Hospitals for Children® is the official philanthropy of the Shrine of North America. Members of the fraternal organization – the Shriners – work together to support Shriners Hospitals for Children through charitable giving and volunteerism. The Board of Governors at Shriners Hospitals for Children — Northern California is composed of Shrine leaders from seven different Shrine Temples located in regions served by our hospital: Aahmes, Al Bahr, Asiya, Ben Ali, Hillah, Kerak and Tehran. In addition to supporting the hospital through representation on the Board of Governors, each Shrine Temple organizes events and activities to raise awareness and funds to benefit the kids served by Shriners Hospitals for Children.
Listed below are First Lady Projects organized to benefit Shriners Hospitals for Children — Northern California. First Lady is the official title given to the wife of the Potentate, or president, of each Shrine Temple. For information on other events and activities organized by Shrine Temples in your region, please click on the Temple name to link to their website.
First Lady Karen Pabon was motivated to raise money for the Cerebral Palsy Center of Excellence by a patient benefiting from care at Shriners Hospitals for Children — Northern California. By supporting the Center, you are supporting the growth and development of Northern California’s largest and most-comprehensive cerebral palsy program. Contributions will help the hospital welcome each new patient by providing support for enhancements to the motion analysis center and education materials for families. Most of all, your contributions will help ensure that children born with cerebral palsy have access to the compassionate and complex care that is the hallmark of Shriners Hospitals for Children.

Therapeutic Recreation & Child Life Program
Research shows that children who are prepared for medical procedures and engage in therapeutic play experience less fear and anxiety and have better long-term adjustment to medical challenges. By supporting the Therapeutic Recreation & Child Life program, you are ensuring that kids treated at our Shriners Hospital benefit from best practices delivered by a highly-trained team on the forefront of care. Your contributions will support innovative projects and activities and nurture further development of the program through continuing education. Ultimately, your contribution will lead to positive outcomes for patients and families.
Proceeds from the First Lady Shrine jewelry support this important project. Outright gifts designated for this project also are welcome.
