Feztastic Day at the Fair

Wednesday, July 22, was a feztastic day at the California State Fair for kids and for Shriners Hospitals for Children. Kids of all ages, including some as young as 18 months, used oil pastels to create their own piece of artwork to add to the giant fez poster in the Shriners Hospital exhibit in the yArt Exhibit at California State Fairouth arts building. Barbara Brooks, a teacher in the hospital school, and a team of volunteers spent the day cheering kids on as the fez collage took shape.

“We even had former patients stop by and share their stories about how Shriners helped them,” Barbara said.

The collaborative exhibit was inspired by an art project in the Shriners Hospital School.
