Going back to school is exciting, but it also means lives get busier! It is important for students to stay fueled with nutrient-dense foods to maintain focus and energy levels. Smoothies are perfect because they are quick, tasty, and healthy! They can make a great meal or snack and they are a great way to take in a lot of nutrients. There are so many varieties of smoothies, but try to choose a recipe with protein because it helps keep you full, so adding protein powder or natural protein sources like nut butters or yogurt can be delicious additions to your smoothie! Banana Nut Smoothie
Combine all ingredients, except nutmeg, in blender. Cover and run on high until smooth and well blended. Sprinkle with nutmeg. Makes 4 (1 cup) servings.
2 ripe bananas
2 cups pineapple juice
2 tablespoons creamy peanut butter
2 teaspoons plain yogurt
1-1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
6 ice cubes
