Celebrating our employees and their many years of service

Employees are the heart of SHCNC. That was the sentiment shared and felt by many on March 16 when staff gathered in the hospital auditorium to celebrate the contributions of our employees and recognize their many years of service. Debbie Rubens and the Human Resources team led us through the program.  Directors and managers — and our hospital leader Margaret Bryan – were there to share accomplishments of individuals in departments throughout the hospital. The presentations received resounding applause.

Here are a few of the remarks made on behalf of the honored employees:

“She goes above and beyond to make our patients feel special.”

“Thank you for being such a dedicated and valuable employee and congratulations on your fifteen years of service!”

“She loves her job at Shriners and told me, ‘I see patients when they come in and when they leave. I always see smiles on the parents faces when they leave and that makes me feel very happy.’ ”

“Her great attitude and smile are noticed by all. Thank you for being such an important part of the team.”

“We honor you for 15 years of service. I appreciate your can-do attitude you have displayed throughout the ups and downs of your 15 years.”

“What do you do when you have an employee with an incredible work-ethic, is productive, talented, loyal, upbeat and all around nice guy? In lieu of a 90-day trip around the world, we thought you would much prefer our heartfelt thanks!”

“She gets people on fire about doing the right thing for the right reasons.”

“The best day at work for me is to be in the Operating Room with John.”

“He cares about every kid as if they are his child or grandchild.”
