Full Biography

John K. Liu M.D. is a board certified pediatric anesthesiologist in the Department of Anesthesia at Shriners Hospitals for Children — Northern California. He specializes in the anesthetic care and management of infants and children who are undergoing surgery and other procedures. Dr. Liu also serves as volunteer clinical faculty at the UC Davis Department of Anesthesia, where he teaches and mentors medical students.

Dr. Liu’s professional affiliations include the California Society of Anesthesia, the American Society of Regional Anesthesia, the American Society of Anesthesia and the Society of Pediatric Anesthesia; the latter of which he has contributed poster presentations and led problem-based learning discussions on challenging clinical anesthesia cases.

In his spare time, Dr. Liu organizes and attends mission trips performing cleft lip and palate surgeries around the world with Faces of Tomorrow. Recent missions include travel to Taglibaran City in the Philippines and Nay Pyi Taw in Myanmar.
