CHP Cadets Join Kids on Road to Recovery

Cadets from the California Highway Patrol (CHP) Academy chose Shriners Hospitals for Children – Northern California as the beneficiary of their 2015 community service project. They arrived on a Saturday morning in September ready to go to work sprucing up the hospital grounds.

After a morning of landscaping, window washing and scrubbing the parking garage, the cadets made sure the kids’ cars were fit to drive – properly fueled and clean inside and out! Kids were all smiles when the cadets delivered the clean fleet to the central activity area just in time for a pizza party, karaoke and lots of games. It was a memorable day for both the patients and the cadets.

  1. It’s great that everyone had a great time.
I hope that the cadets would always help the surrounding community and I hope that the patients in the hospital would get well soon or at least spend their days in fulfillment.
